Yamagoe (山越え), called Hill Climb in English broadcasts, is an obstacle introduced in SASUKE 12's First Stage as the first obstacle, replacing Godantobi.

Competitors need to get a running start and climb over the top of the hill. Then, on the descending portion of it, the competitor must jump to the next hill. The competitor must then repeat the process and land on the platform at the other side.

A relatively easy obstacle, it was only used for one tournament and was replaced in SASUKE 13 by a much harder obstacle, Prism See-Saw.

The naming of Hill Climb caused a lot of confusion among the international viewers, as Sosoritatsu Kabe from the first four SASUKE tournaments, as well as Chou Touhan from KUNOICHI 2003 and KUNOICHI 2006 New Year's Second Stage, were also called Hill Climb in English broadcasts.
