Yaegashi Shunpei (八重樫 俊平) is a Self Defense Force Officer who obtained a spot in SASUKE 40 by placing 2nd in the final round of the SASUKE 40 Trials, clearing the Last Stage in 1:03,65. In the tournament, Shunpei wore #3936. His run was digested, but he was shown timing out on the Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe.

- After the SASUKE 40 Trials ended, Shunpei initially received bib #3942. However, his bib number changed to #3936 by the day of the actual tournament, and Sugeta Rinne wore #3942 instead.
