Xavier Dantzler is a high school graduate from New York who first competed on American Ninja Warrior 13.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Xavier first competed on American Ninja Warrior 13 in the second qualifying episode. He made it through the first four obstacles, but fell on the fifth obstacle, V Formation. He still moved on by placing 16th overall. He later competed in the second semifinals episode. There he completed the fifth obstacle this time, but later fell on the eighth obstacle, Padlock. Since his time was not good enough to make the top 15, he didn't advance to the national finals, ending his rookie season.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Xavier returned for his second season in the second qualifying episode. This time around, his run was cut, but he once again failed the fifth obstacle, this time being Piston Plunge. He once again advanced to the semifinals by placing 12th overall. He later competed in the first semifinals episode. His run there was digested, but he once again failed on the fifth obstacle, failing on Kaleidoscope on the transition to the final ledge, once again ending his season in the semifinals.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
Xavier returned during the sixth round of qualifying. He completed the fifth obstacle in qualifying for the first time, and went on to hit his first ever buzzer. He placed 6th overall.
He returned for the second half of the first semifinals episode as the final run of the night racing against his hero, Najee Richardson. Xavier was behind for most of the race but when Najee failed the Spin Hopper, he took his time on the obstacle and was able to conquer the course, eliminating Najee and moved onto Vegas for the first time placing 10th.
Xavier's run was digested on Stage One of the National Finals. Likely due to his inexperience on the stage, he had a rough run as he didn't release on his first swing on the Giant Rollercoaster and then strugged with traction on the Jumping Spider. However, he ultimately made it to the fifth obstacle, The Gambler, and went out on that obstacle, ending his best season to date.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Xavier returned during the sixth and final round of qualifying. His run was digested, but he got revenge on V Formation and he cleared the qualifying course for the second straight season, this time doing so with the 3rd fastest time and just missed officially attempting the Mega Wall for his first time by .35 seconds. However, Xavier revealed on his Youtube channel that the producers did let him attempt it for fun when he asked if he could and he ended up missing it [1].
Xavier then completed in the last round of the semifinals. There he looked good through the first two obstacles, before he ended up surprisingly falling on the Log Runner, marking the third time that his season ended during the semifinals.
Xavier announced that he was retiring from American Ninja Warrior but he was shown to be supporting Jera Boyd in Vegas.
Trivia[]
- During the second qualifier episode on ANW14, he and Najee Richardson were both shown as 11th place on the broadcast, due to an editing error. Ultimately, starting with Xavier, everyone who qualified that placed below him were also shown to be one place higher than they actually were.
