William "Will" Schlageter is a biochemist from Lancaster, Pennsylvania who first appeared on the sidelines in American Ninja Warrior 4 at 14 years old. His father, Bill Schlageter, at 43, competed that season, though he did not make it past the first obstacle.
He then later made his first appearance on American Ninja Warrior 11.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
After 7 years of waiting, he finally got his shot at competing on the show. He first competed in Baltimore, but his run was not shown. He failed the Double Twister.
American Ninja Warrior 12[]
Will competed for his second season as part of Joe Moravsky's team, having recently graduated from college. He competed in the fourth episode in qualifying, where he went out on the third obstacle, Beehive. Luckily, because Joe Moravsky won the Power Tower race that round, he and fellow teammate Jeshuah Lewis (who also did not make the top 12) were able to advance to the semifinals as well.
In the semifinals, he was determined to go farther after falling on just the third obstacle in qualifying. In the second episode of semifinals, he put together a gutsy run, making it as far as the eighth obstacle, Corkscrew, before failing. Despite his best efforts, his time there did not land in the top 12, so he didn't advance to the finals.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Will returned in for his third season, competing in the second episode of qualifying. His run was not shown again, but he made it to the fifth obstacle, V Formation. This is his first time making the qualifying leaderboard, as he placed 20th in the top 30 overall.
In the semi-finals, his run was digested, but it was shown that he got revenge on the Double Twister, but later failed Padlock. Since his time was not fast enough to make the top 15 at the end of the night, he did not make the top 15, as he placed 17th overall.
Despite not qualifying for the national finals, Will competed in Vegas as an alternate for Jackson Twait, who had to withdrew due to COVID tracing. His run was cut, but it was revealed he went out on Double Dipper.
