Wild Bunch was a team on the first season of Team Ninja Warrior. The team consisted of captain Lance Pekus, Ben "Tarzan" Melick, and Rose Wetzel. The name is a reference to the 1969 Western film The Wild Bunch.
Team Ninja Warrior[]
They competed on Episode 3, going up against Noah Kaufman's Think Tank in Round 1:
- Ben lost the first race against Matt Wilder as he fell at the Sonic Swing,
- Rose lost the second race against Asya Grechka as she fell at the Dancing Stones,
- Lance then lost the anchor run against Noah Kaufman.
Melick, Wetzel, and Pekus all lost their races to their opponents. Thus, the team got put in the loser's bracket for Round 2. Going up against Team Ronin, led by Flip Rodriguez:
- Ben lost the first race against Flip Rodriguez,
- Rose lost the second race against Tiana Webberley,
- Lance then lost the anchor run against JJ Woods, and the Wild Bunch was eliminated from the competition.
The Wild Bunch did not regroup for Team Ninja Warrior 2. Captain Lance Pekus joined Kevin Bull's Team Grit, while Ben Melick and Rose Wetzel formed a new team called Team Tarzan, with Melick as the team captain.
