Intro

VIKING 3 was the third and final VIKING tournament using the same system as SASUKE. The show was recorded on September 17th, 2005 and broadcasted on October 4th. The course was heavily changed from the previous tournament. Two new obstacles, the Alphabet Parley and the Island Escape, were added to the First Marine Stage. Two more obstacles, the Color Fusion and Tactical Parley, were added to the Second Adventure Stage and the Heartbreaker was relocated. Both the Brain Ship Stage and the Third Fantasy Stage were deleted altogether. The Steady Voyager, Ultimate Plank, Heartbreaker and the new Hawkeye became the new Final Viking.

The First Marine Stage became significantly more difficult with the new obstacles, with only six competitors managing to clear. Nagano Makoto, who had reached Final Viking in the previous tournament, was surprisingly defeated by the Parley. TERU, though clearing, had to withdraw due to injury.

Ultimately, two competitors - Maeda Sho and Minamide Kimihiro - made it to Final Viking, becoming the second and third competitors to do so. However, both failed, not even managing to reach the Heartbreaker and VIKING ended without a kanzenseiha.
