Tyler Kurtzhals is a teen from Herriman, Utah, who was previously on the first season of American Ninja Warrior Junior.
American Ninja Warrior Junior[]
Tyler first competed on the inaugural season of American Ninja Warrior Junior. His runs were shown in Episode 15. In the seeding round, he lost to Caiden Madzelan, entering the knockout round in the losing seed. There, he unfortunately lost again to Ben Steinhauer, and his season ended there.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
He first competed on American Ninja Warrior in the last qualifying episode. His run was digested, but he was almost flawless throughout the course. He ended up failing the fifth obstacle, the Final Frontier, after he lost his grip as he was trying to get the dismount from the small sphere. He went at a fast pace to that point, which allowed him to advance in 20th place.
He later competed in the second semifinals episode. His run there was also digested, but he peeled right off the second bar on the third obstacle, Clockwork. He placed 29th overall, and therefore didn't advance to the national finals that season.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
He returned for his second season in the seventh round of qualifiers. His run was cut, but he revealed on his Instagram that he failed on just the second obstacle Reel to Reel after he didn't release on the first reel and went down after trying to build back his momentum to the second reel and he didn't advance to the semifinals this time around.
Although he didn’t get the call for American Ninja Warrior 17, he did get the chance to be a tester throughout the courses.
