True competed in the second qualifier round in Tacoma. In the qualifiers, his run was digested but he had a strong run and only fell when it came down to V Formation. Because he got there in a quick pace, it was enough to place 9th at the end of the round. And so, he moved on to the semifinals.

He competed in the second round of qualifiers. During the the semifinals, Becker had no issues working his way through the first half of the course. Compared to so many before him, Becker was one of the few to work his way past the eighth obstacle, Padlock, ensuring his spot in Vegas. Calling his shot to the buzzer with Tufts University Mascot Jumbo the Elephant looking on, Becker finished the semifinal course and hit the buzzer, placing 4th and moving on to the National Finals.
