Todd Bourgeois is a physical therapist and curent professor who is known as the "Cajun Cowboy".
American Ninja Warrior 5[]
Todd first competed in American Ninja Warrior 5, where he was the first competitor broadcasted in the Miami Qualifying round. He made it past the first three obstacles, but became the first of many to fail the Slider Jump.
American Ninja Warrior 6[]
After what he called a "disappointing run" last season, he returned in Miami in American Ninja Warrior 6. He finished the qualifying course this time, placing 30th overall.
In the city finals, he made it to the back-half of the course. He failed the eighth obstacle, Minefield, but moved on to the national finals, placing 14th and advancing to the national finals.
He ultimately failed the Jumping Spider on Stage One.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
Bourgeois competed at the Orlando Qualifiers and was all cut. His run would later be confirmed by fellow competitor Jonathan Sharp Brown. Brown claimed that Bourgeois stumbled on the Quintuple Steps while trying to rush them, marking his worst run to date.
American Ninja Warrior 8[]
Todd returned to compete in Atlanta in American Ninja Warrior 8. His run was cut in qualifying but it was revealed that he cleared the course placing 13th.
In the city finals his run was digested, but it was shown that he almost lost his shoe at the Big Dipper but on the Floating Monkey Bars he made a mental mistake and dropped one of the bars, making the obstacle impossible to complete. He attempted to make a long lache, in a similar to Sean Darling-Hammond during ANW 7's Pittsburgh Finals, but failed. Todd's time to the Floating Monkey Bars was enough to place 15th and move onto the national finals again.
His run on Stage One was cut but it was revealed that he failed the Jumping Spider again.[1]
American Ninja Warrior 9[]
Todd returned to compete in Daytona Beach in American Ninja Warrior 9. His run was digested, but this time, his run ended early as he failed the second obstacle, Rolling Pin. He didn't move on to the semifinal round for the second time.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]
Todd returned to compete in Miami in American Ninja Warrior 10. Though his qualifier run was all cut, this time, he failed the Slippery Summit, placing 13th overall and moving on to the city finals.
In city finals, his run was digested but it was shown that he failed the Crazy Clocks, but still qualified for the national finals for the third time in his career as he placed 8th overall.
His run on Stage One was cut, but it was revealed that he failed the Double Dipper.[2] Bourgeois would catch the second bar but peel off right before the dismount.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
Todd returned to compete in Atlanta in American Ninja Warrior 11. His run in qualifying was cut but it was revealed that he failed the Bouncing Spider.[3] As a result, he didn't make the Top 30 for the third time.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Todd was originally slated to compete in Washington D.C. in ANW 12.[4] However, due to the pandemic altering the season, he did not participate that year. Likely to make up for this, he was able to compete in ANW 13.
He competed in the third episode of qualifying, where his run was all cut, but it was shown on the leaderboard that he placed 24th after failing Pretzel Twist, advancing to the semifinals. This is the first time Todd advanced to the semifinals in an odd-numbered season, as he was eliminated in qualifying in seasons 5, 7, 9, and 11.
Todd competed in the third semifinal round. His run was completely cut, but he failed the Drop Zone and did not move on to the National Finals. This is the first time his season ended in a semifinals round, as in the previous tournaments, Todd's seasons ended on either a qualifier or Stage One.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Todd competed in the fourth episode of qualifying where he got a full run for the first time since season 6. He was looking good until he once again failed on the fifth obstacle, going out on the Battering Ram after he left foot touched the water when he dismounted from the obstacle. Thankfully, his fact pace to the obstacle placed him 15th overall, advancing to the semifinals.
Todd later competed in the first semifinals episode. His run was digested, but he once again failed on the Battering Ram, this time falling from the transition from the first ram to the second ram, once again ending his season in a semifinals round.
