Thomas Kofron is a firefighter from San Luis Obispo, California. Kofron debuted in American Ninja Warrior 10, but before then, he played a major role for his family in the Thomas Fire in California.
Thomas Fire Rescue[]
From December 2017 to January 2018, the Thomas Fire quickly became the largest wildfire in modern California history. The wildfire was responsible for igniting over 273,400 acres of land in California. Kofron's primary mission as a firefighter was to extinguish the flames close to his parents' house. Kofron successfully was able to keep his parents' home intact, making them one of the very few buildings in California to survive the wildfire.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]

Thomas first competed in LA in American Ninja Warrior 10, Kofron was the first competitor to beat the Doorknob Drop, and became the first competitor to finish the qualifying course. Kofron finished 3rd overall.
In the city finals, his run was digested but it was shown that he failed the Baton Pass. Kofron was able to guarantee his spot in the national finals by placing 11th overall.
In Vegas, he was digested, but became a victim of the Jumping Spider, ending his rookie run.
American Ninja Warrior 11[]
Kofron returned in American Ninja Warrior 11. However, he shockingly was tripped up by just the third obstacle, Spring Forward. Despite an earlier than expected fall, his performance was actually good enough to place 28th overall in the Los Angeles qualifier that season, and so he advanced to the city finals barely making the top 30. Unfortunately, that obstacle took him out once again in the finals, so he didn't advance to Vegas.
