Team Ninja Warrior Germany was the first installment of Ninja Warrior Germany's Team Ninja spin-off. The premiere aired on April 22nd, 2018 at RTL. The hosts of this season, just as of the regular Ninja Warrior Germany seasons, were Frank Buschmann and Jan Köppen and the sideline reporter of this season was Laura Wontorra.

There were 40 teams, participating for this first Team Ninja Warrior Germany season. Each team consisted of 3 competitors in total, with there always being 2 male competitors and always a female competitor in each team. Aside from that, each team also had a team captain.

Competition Format[]
- Seeding Round:
- There were 8 teams at the start of each Preliminary Round episode.
- In the Seeding Rounds, two teams would always compete against each other in three direct duels, with one member of one team participating against one member of the other team.
- The two female competitors always form a duel in this.
- There was one point for the winners of the first two duels and two points for the winner of the third duel.
- In case of a tie after three duels, there would be an additional decisive run.
- All 8 teams were drawn into the K.O.-Round.
- K.O.-Round:
- K.O.-Round works same as Seeding Round, two teams compete against each other in direct duels following the concept of the Seeding Rounds.
- This time, winner of Seeding Round face off with loser of Seeding Round.
- There was one point for the winners of the first two duels and two points for the winner of the third duel.
- In case of a tie after three duels, there would be an additional decisive run.
- Winner of each of 4 matches advance to Final Relay, meanwhile losers are eliminated.
- Finals Qualification Relay:
- The Final Relay would be carried out as a one direct relay duel on an extended course, where each competitor have to complete three obstacles of nine.
- Winner of each of 2 relay duels advance to Final.
- Final-Seeding Round:
- There were 10 teams at the start of Final episode (2 of each Preliminary Round).
- In the Seeding Rounds, two teams would always compete against each other in three direct duels, with one member of one team participating against one member of the other team.
- The two female competitors always form a duel in this.
- There was one point for the winners of the first two duels and two points for the winner of the third duel.
- In case of a tie after three duels, there would be an additional decisive run.
- All 10 teams were drawn into the K.O.-Round.
- Final-K.O.-Round:
- K.O.-Round works same as Seeding Round, two teams compete against each other in direct duels following the concept of the Seeding Rounds.
- This time, winner of Seeding Round face off with loser of Seeding Round.
- There was one point for the winners of the first two duels and two points for the winner of the third duel.
- In case of a tie after three duels, there would be an additional decisive run.
- All losers of each of 5 matches are eliminated. Almost all winners of each of 5 matches advance to Final Relay, except one winner team, which result is the worst. In conclusion, 4 teams advance to Final Relay.
- Final-Final Relay:
- The Final Relay would be carried out as a one direct relay duel on an extended course, where each competitor have to complete three obstacles of nine.
- Winner of each of 2 relay duels advance to one more relay duel, meanwhile losers are eliminated.
- 2 remaining teams run relay duel once again, and winner of that duel would be crowned as the winner of Team Ninja Warrior Germany and of a 100,000€ cash prize.
