Tarzan Jump (ターザンジャンプ), later renamed Tarzan Rope (ターザンロープ) since SASUKE 18, was the penultimate obstacle in SASUKE's First Stage from SASUKE 3 to SASUKE 34, until it was removed indirectly by Dragon Glider due to space constraint in SASUKE 35.

Competitors must grab onto a rope and swing to the next obstacle:

From SASUKE 10 to SASUKE 12, a different obstacle named Tarzan Rope was used to precede Rope Climb. This obstacle, however, only had six failures in its lifespan, resulting in Tarzan Jump being brought back in the following tournament.

During the international rebroadcasts, Tarzan Jump/Tarzan Rope was not an obstacle in its own right, but was considered a part of Rope Climb/Rope Ladder. When tied with Rope Ladder, it was both considered a same obstacle that called Final Climb.

Other Appearances[]

Except American Ninja Warrior, most international SASUKE/Ninja Warrior formats served the Tarzan Rope as a standalone obstacle rather than combined with the other obstacles.

American Ninja Warrior[]

On American Ninja Warrior 1 and American Ninja Warrior 2, a similar obstacle (called as the Rope Swing) appeared as the second obstacle during qualifying and semifinal.

Later, Tarzan Rope appeared as the final obstacle in Stage One from American Ninja Warrior 4 to American Ninja Warrior 6. However, just like during G4's broadcast of Ninja Warrior, the obstacle was combined with Rope Ladder, and collectively called Final Climb. They had to swing 30 feet to the cargo net.

On American Ninja Warrior 7, the Tarzan Rope part of the Final Climb was replaced by an angled platform at the starting platform and three jumping bars, resulting in the introduction of a new obstacle called Triple Swing.
