Tanaka Tomokazu is a karate instructor who was the first person ever to attempt SASUKE. Amazingly, he was able to clear every obstacle he had time to attempt despite struggling on the Sosoritatsu Kabe. He had a very interesting strategy on the Yureru Hashi, placing one leg on each side and slowly sliding across to keep the bridge stable. This strategy was quickly obsoleted. He timed out while beginning the Free Climbing obstacle. He was first to clear the Maruta Nobori, Burasagari Maruta, Maruta Kudari, Sosoritatsu Kabe, Yureru Hashi, and Taki Kudari.
