Super Ninja 1 (officially known as Суперниндзя) was the first ever season of the unofficial successor to the regular International SASUKE/Ninja Warrior format in Russia, known as Ninja Warrior Russia (Русский ниндзя). The show was recorded in the town of Mineralnye Vody, Russia. The premiere episode of the season was aired on February 13th, 2023 at CTC (STS). The hosts of this first season were the television host Vasily Artemyev and the musician and television presenter Dmitry Maslennikov and the sideline reporter of this season was the actress Valeria Astapova.

Competition Format[]

Super Ninja featured 4 stages. Those stages were: Qualifying Rounds, Semifinals, Final, and Super Final.

However, unlike on the show's predecessor, and any other International Ninja Warrior/SASUKE show, there would be a glowing ring hanging at the end of almost every obstacle. Competitors would be required to collect said ring at the end of an obstacle and to push it onto a pedestal in order to complete the obstacle, or (in case of the final obstacle) the stage, making the format somewhat similar to the Netflix's obstacle course show, called Ultimate Beastmaster. If any ring should fall into the water, the competitor would be disqualified.

The Qualifying Rounds[]

The main format of the Qualifying Rounds is similar to those of Ninja Warrior Russia. However, unlike on the show's predecessor, and any other International Ninja Warrior/SASUKE show, there would be a glowing ring hanging at the end of almost every obstacle (except for obstacle 1). Top 10 competitors in each of the Qualifying Rounds (the 10 competitiors placed in the leaderboard shown at end of the round), i.e. either 10 finishers (in case of exactly 10) or the 10 furthest fastest* (in case of zero finishers), would advance to the Semi-finals of the same episode right after.

Unlike Ninja Warrior Russia, all Qualifying Rounds would feature the exact same course instead of varying courses. And, more notably, some obstacles featured in this show were not ones that were created by SASUKE, KUNOICHI, American Ninja Warrior or other International Ninja Warrior/SASUKE shows, but by Ultimate Beastmaster, while other obstacles would just be modifications and/or fusions of SASUKE & American Ninja Warrior obstacles, such as Hariyama and the Inclined Conveyor Belt.

*Note: In case of more than 10 finishers, only the 10 best finishers would advance, and in case of less than 10 but more than zero finishers, the along with the other finishers would advance.
