Sugimoto Kazuhiro competed in SASUKE 1, where he was a 20 year old basketball player. Both of his runs were shown and he cleared the First Stage. However, he wasn't able to maintain his speed in the Second Stage. He was quite slow on the Spider Walk and he timed out on the second wall on the Wall Lifting. He still holds today the record for the best performance for number 78.
