The Step Slider (ステップスライダー) is the first obstacle of SASUKE 26, replacing the Dome Steps from the previous tournament.

It was a combination of the Godantobi (with the Rokudantobi spacing and colour scheme) and the Bridge Jump.

After completing the four steps, competitors had to jump to grab a rope attached to a zip-line and let go above the platform, which was slanted like the Godantobi. Sometimes, this obstacle was also called the 'Slider Steps'.

This obstacle took out Lee En-Chih in SASUKE 27 when his feet skimmed the water. In SASUKE 28, the rope was removed, returning the Godantobi.

ANW4 Step Slider — American Ninja Warrior 4's Step Slider in Stage One

The Step Slider appeared as the first obstacle in Stage One on American Ninja Warrior 4. However, compared to the one used in SASUKE, the obstacle was proven to be an extremely easy obstacle for the competitors, as only 3 competitors failed on this obstacle (including Matthew Derouen). On American Ninja Warrior 5, it was replaced by the Timbers.

From SASUKE Vietnam 3 to SASUKE Vietnam 5, the Step Slider (called locally as Nhảy 4 Bước) appeared as the first obstacle in Stage 1 (1A and 1B), replacing the Godantobi (Nhảy Bước 4) from the previous season. The spacing of the steps was similar to SASUKE 28 version of the Godantobi, but the color scheme was similar with the original version from SASUKE.

Each step had a white trail that competitors could not touch any part of them or they would be disqualified. They could also be disqualified by not transiting steps with correct direction (i.e. skipping any steps or stepping backward), These rules has eliminated a mount of competitors so far, including the most shockingly, Chunmin Yang.

On the debut season, using hands on this obstacle would result in disqualification, as was shown via Ngô Văn Hùng's run. However, this rule was removed on the next season.
