Intro[]

The 3rd Sports Danshi tournament, official name:「究極の男は誰だ!?最強スポーツ男子頂上決戦Ⅲ」 abbreviated as SpoDan was the reboot of Sportsman No. 1. In similar format to Celebrity Sportsman No. 1, various celebrities would compete in a series of events to gain points. As the events progress, the competitors who would gain the least amount of points would be eliminated from the competition. This elimination would continue until the final event where the top competitors would be left.

Mountain Flag[]

This event involves a group of four competitors dash and climb atop a 10 metre steep hill as fast as possible in order to grab a flag situated at the very top. There is a rope hanging halfway down the hill to aid competitors. The winner of each heats move on straight to the finals.

Competitors would be given corresponding points based on their progress on the event:

  • Winner of the Event would be given 100 points
  • Losers of Finals would be given 60 points
  • Losers of Round 1 would be given 30 points

Power Wall[]

The event involving competitors where two competitors in the opposing sides using pure brute strength to push a wall towards the other side against each other. The time limit for each round is 90 seconds and these rounds would occur until the final round to indicate the winner of the Event.

Monster Box[]

The event involves competitors running down a runway onto a springboard and vault over a giant vaulting box that increases in height after all competitors have attempted the current height. In this tournament, the competitors would start at 12 Levels which has an equivalent height of 1 meter and 96 centimeters and gradually increases by 10 centimeters with each levels.

The Fence[]

This event involves competitors navigating a 15m high metal fence whilst competing against one another in order to reach the button at the top of the tower. The metal fence would comprise of various vertical and inclined portions set at 30 and 45 degrees and the competitor who completed with the fastest time wins this event. After this event, eight competitors with the least amount of points is eliminated from the competition.

Hard Anchor[]

The remaining eight competitors competed in the event involves a pair of competitors pulling up a chained anchor with a total weight of 45kg across a distance of 23m resting on the ramp. The competitor who pulled the chained anchor first would move on to the next round, these rounds would occur until the final round to indicate the winner of the event. After the event, the top two competitors with the most amount of points advances to the final event.

Shot-Gun Touch[]

The remaining top three competitors competes in an event involves competitors sprinting towards the end of the runway to touch a falling volleyball ten metres above. The volleyball must be released by pressing a button at the start of the runway, failure to do so signify a miss. A single failure results in elimination and the competitor with the most overall points would attempt first and the competitor who has successfully completed the furthest and/or earned the most points wins the event. 10 points would be awarded for every 10 centimeters cleared based on the benchmark distance presumably at 10 metres 90 centimeters. After each attempt, the distance each competitor attempts relies on the competitor with the most overall points, enough to overtake said competitor in order to win the competition.
