Intro[]

The 14th Sports Danshi tournament, official name:「究極の男は誰だ!?最強スポーツ男子頂上決戦2025春」 abbreviated as SpoDan was the reboot of Sportsman No. 1. The main broadcast aired on May 2, 2025 on 6:30pm JST with a time slot of approximately three hours and thirty minutes. This tournament has a similar format to Pro Sportsman No. 1, where various celebrities would compete in a series of events to gain points.

Tentative Timetable

The official website has revealed that the filming took place on April 22, 2025 at 4pm JST at the Tokyo Ariake Arena where Sports Danshi Grand Prix 12 took place. Tickets was released on February 5, 2025 at 6pm JST and are up for grabs for incoming audiences to attend, the deadline is slated at February 24, 2025 at 11:59pm JST. Based on the official timetable, here are the tentative timings for every events and may subject to change due to various circumstances during filming.

  • 3:00pm JST - Public Access
  • 4:00pm JST - Opening of Sports Danshi Grand Prix
  • 4:20pm JST - Beginning of Beach Flags event
  • 5:30pm JST - Event 1
  • 5:50pm JST - Beginning of Power Wall's First Round to Semifinals event
  • 7:05pm JST - Event 2 (BALLISSTIK BOYZ and BUDDiiS Special Collaboration Performance)
  • 7:15pm JST - Beginning of Power Wall's Finals event
  • 7:25pm JST - Event 3
  • 7:45pm JST - Beginning of Hard Jumper's First Round to Semifinals event

Monster Box[]

The event involves competitors running down a runway onto a springboard and vault over a giant vaulting box that increases in height after all competitors have attempted the current height. In this tournament, the male competitors would start at 15 Levels which has an equivalent height of 2 meter and 26 centimeters and gradually increases by 10 centimeters with each levels.

Beach Flags[]

The event involves competitors laying down flat on their stomachs facing behind the track. Once a whistle is blown, they must stand up and run across the track to grab a limited number of flags. There were a total of eight rounds in this competition, which would slowly eliminate competitors one by one as the rounds progress. In the finals, the competitor who managed to grab the last flag would be the winner of the Event.

Power Wall[]

The event involving competitors where two competitors in the opposing sides using pure brute strength to push a wall towards the other side against each other. The time limit for each round is 60 seconds and these rounds would occur until the final round to indicate the winner of the Event. As a side note, there is no time limit for the Finals.

Hard Jumper[]

This event involves competitors jumping over a series of 40 cm high fences that is designed to rotate automatically in a circular motion at an interval of one second towards the competitor. Each round would continue until one competitor is remaining.
