The 11th Sports Danshi tournament, official name:「究極の男は誰だ!?最強スポーツ男子頂上決戦2022」 abbreviated as SpoDan was the reboot of Sportsman No. 1 and was the first tournament in over four years since its hiatus. In similar format to Celebrity Sportsman No. 1, various celebrities would compete in a series of events to gain points. As the events progress, the competitors who would gain the least amount of points would be eliminated from the competition. This elimination would continue until the final event where the top competitors would be left.
The event involves competitors running down a runway onto a springboard and vault over a giant vaulting box that increases in height after all competitors have attempted the current height. In this tournament, the male competitors would start at 13 Levels which has an equivalent height of 2 meter and 06 centimeters and gradually increases by 10 centimeters with each levels.
This event involves competitors navigating three obstacles whilst competing against one another in order to grab the flag at the top of the tower. The obstacles consist of a 3.8 meter high Soritatsu Kabe, a 10.88 meter metal fence divided into two portions, a vertical portion and an inclined portion set at 45 degrees, and a 4.5 meter Rope Climb with knots to aid competitors.
The event itself involves competitors holding on to the grips attached to the container and lean on the rest pad over the competitors' heads. Competitors must maintain their position as foam balls that act as weights would gradually drop towards a 40kg container, with a maximum weight of 150 kilograms in three minutes, totalizing to 190 kilograms. As a side note, the container's weight is not included in the results. This would mean that the longer competitors hold on to the grips, the heavier the weight they must maintain to avoid dropping the container. Each round would continue until the last competitor drops the container.
This event involves competitors jumping over a series of 40 cm high fences that is designed to rotate automatically in a circular motion at an interval of one second towards the competitor. In the finals, the interval is reduced to 0.8 seconds. Each round would continue until one competitor is remaining. After the event, eight competitors with the least amount of points is eliminated from the competition.
The remaining eight competitors competed in the event where two competitors in the opposing sides using pure brute strength to push a wall towards the other side against each other. The time limit for each round is 90 seconds and these rounds would occur until the final round to indicate the winner of the Event. As a side note, there is no time limit for the Finals. After the event, the top three competitors with the most amount of points advances to the final event.
Eliminated Competitors: Sano Gaku, Tokuda Koji, Okura Shimon, Kane Kosugi, and Shiozaki Daichi
Shot-Gun Touch[]
The remaining top three competitors competes in an event involves competitors sprinting towards the end of the runway to touch a falling volleyball ten meters above. The volleyball must be released by pressing a button at the start of the runway, failure to do so signify a miss. A single failure results in elimination and the competitor with the most overall points would attempt first by declaring the distance that would be used as a benchmark. A successful benchmark distance has no points awarded. 10 points would be awarded for every 10 centimeters cleared based on the benchmark distance. After each attempt, the distance each competitor would attempt relies on the competitor with the most overall points, enough to overtake said competitor in order to win the competition.
Nevertheless, the competitor who has successfully completed the furthest and/or earned the most points wins the event.
