Competitors have to walk atop three rows of giant foam blocks, each harder than the last.
Sponge Bridge I
This version consists of 63 boards. First competitors must cross the Green Zone, where the boards are leveled out in a straight path. Then the Yellow Zone where the boards are rounded at the top and ascend slightly. Finally on the Red Zone the boards function like steps (in a similar fashion to how the Tourenta on KUNOICHI would appear. This version had two winners: Tsuji Makoto and Shiratori Shuichi.
Sponge Bridge II
This version consists of 64 boards. The Green Zone was kept the same, however the Yellow Zone was changed to a descending counter-clockwise curve. The Red Zone is an upward counter-clockwise curve with the boards rounded at the top similar to Sponge Bridge I's Yellow Zone. Adding to that the final 10 boards are on a sponge base, making them more difficult to cross. This version was never conquered with only a few competitors getting to the Red Zone.
Sponge Bridge III
Despite the fact that Sponge Bridge II was never defeated, the event was still upgraded. Making this (along with Neko De Drive) the only event to have a redesigned course without the original having been completed. This version had 99 boards. The Green Zone was similar to it's predecessors, however halfway across competitors must side step to the left and continue across the leveled boards. The Yellow Zone is also leveled out, but the competitors must turn 90 degrees to the left about midway across. This is the only part where competitors appear to be allowed to skip boards. The Red Zone is the same as Sponge Bridge II. This version was never defeated as no known competitor even got past the Yellow Zone.
