Competitors have to walk atop three rows of giant foam blocks, each harder than the last. This event would have three zones namely the Green Zone, Yellow Zone, and the Red Zone which would have different number of boards and arrangements in which competitors would cross.

Green Zone - 17 Boards | Flat-topped boards, evenly level.
Yellow Zone - 21 Boards | Round-topped boards, steady slight ascent.
Red Zone - 25 Boards | Thin boards, four significant step ascents. The final 7 boards are on a sponge base.
Total - 63 Boards
This version had two winners: Tsuji Makoto and Shiratori Shuichi.
Sponge Bridge II[]
Green Zone - 17 Boards | Flat-topped boards, evenly level.
Yellow Zone - 28 Boards | Flat-topped boards, descending counter-clockwise curve.
Red Zone - 19 Boards | Round-topped boards, upward counter-clockwise curve. The final 10 boards are on a sponge base.
Total - 64 Boards
This version was never conquered with only three competitors (one on two occasions) getting to the Red Zone.
Sponge Bridge III (Sponge Bridge '99)[]
In the original airing, this event was referred to as Sponge Bridge '99, and thus counts as a special event not associated with the serial escalation of Sponge Bridge itself.
Green Zone - 18 Boards | Flat-topped boards, evenly level. Halfway across, competitors must side step to the left.
Yellow Zone - 27 Boards | Flat-topped boards, evenly level. Halfway across, competitors must turn 90 degrees to the left. Competitors are allowed to skip boards due to the nature of the transition.
Red Zone - 18 Boards | Round-topped boards, upward counter-clockwise curve. Halfway across, there is a larger gap in the middle. The final 10 boards are on a sponge base.
Total - 63 Boards
This version was never defeated as no known competitor even got past the Yellow Zone. This was also the final event to air in the US version.
