Split-stage Format is a variation of the First Stage, which was firstly introduced on the first season of SASUKE Vietnam. This concept can be traced to Crossroads, a notable VIKING obstacle and this concept has been used in multiple international Ninja Warrior formats such as Australian Ninja Warrior, Ninja Warrior Poland, Ninja Warrior Hungary, Ninja Israel, Ninja Warrior France and American Ninja Warrior (the later three competitions have Split Decision).
This format would appear on the First Stage, in which the course was split to Stage 1A part and Stage 1B part starting from the third obstacle to the final obstacle.
This format was used only in all five regular SASUKE Vietnam seasons. In most SASUKE Vietnam international competitions (except SASUKE Vietnam: International Competition 2018) and SASUKE Vietnam: Team Competition 2017, only Stage 1A (or Stage 1B in SASUKE Vietnam: Vietnam vs. The World 2) is used.

Ninja Israel[]
On Ninja Warrior Israel 3, the Split-stage Format appeared as a new rule of the Crossroads in several heats, in which the route that competitors must attempt is randomly announced instead of pressing the buttons to choose the route after five seconds once competitors reach the fourth obstacle.
