Sophia Lavallee is a high school sophomore from Lancaster, Massachusetts.
American Ninja Warrior Junior[]
Sophia first competed on American Ninja Warrior Junior in the 13-14 age bracket. Her Qualifying runs were shown in the fourth Qualifying episode. She lost her seeding round race to Daniel Jones, but won her knockout round race against Ryleigh Rogers, advancing to the final showdown. There, she won a rematch against Daniel Jones, coming back from behind in a spectacular fashion and advancing to the Semifinals.
Her Semifinals runs were shown in the third Semifinals episode. In her first race, she faced and defeated Elijah Browning. Unfortunately, in her second race, she lost to Jeramiah Boyd and did not advance to the Finals. Still, she landed in the top 8 overall for her age group.
American Ninja Warrior Junior 2[]
Sophia returned for American Ninja Warrior Junior 2, again in the 13-14 age bracket. Her Qualifying runs were shown in Episode 14. She won her initial race against Zachary Osborn and won her knockout race against Cairo Rosa, advancing to the final showdown. Unfortunately, she lost the final showdown in a rematch against Zachary Osborn, but her fast time earned her a chance to fight for a wildcard spot.
Her Quarterfinal runs were shown in Episode 16. She defeated Zach Hammer in the wildcard round and earned her spot in the Quarterfinals. Her first Quarterfinal race was against Zachary Osborn yet again. This time, she defeated him and advanced to the next round. She faced Kai Beckstrand in her second Quarterfinal race. Unfortunately for her, she fell at the Sky Hooks and did not advance to the Finals. Still, for the second straight year, she landed in the top 8 for her age group, a feat not many have accomplished.
American Ninja Warrior 13[]
Due to her stellar performances on American Ninja Warrior Junior, Sophia was one of the teenagers chosen to compete on American Ninja Warrior 13. Her Qualifying run was shown in the second Qualifying episode. She made it to the fourth obstacle, Tipping Point, and her fast time to that point earned her both third place in the women's top 5 and 26th place overall. In fact, during Qualifying, Sophia helped to make history, as she and four other women in her episode all placed in the top 30, the first time that occurred in American Ninja Warrior.
She returned for the Semifinals and was shown in the third Semifinals episode. Unfortunately, she failed on the third obstacle, Ring Chaser, and did not advance to Las Vegas.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
Sophia returned for her second season in the second qualifying episode. Her run was once again digested, but this time around, she made it to the fifth obstacle, Piston Plunge before falling. Her time to the obstacle placed her 18th overall in the top 30 and she was also 1st among the women, making her the top women competitor that round.
She later competed in the first semifinals episode. Her run there was also digested, but she unfortunately once again failed on the third obstacle, being one of eight competitors that episode who failed on the Air Surfer, and once again didn't advance to the national finals.
