The Slide Surfer is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the first obstacle in Stage One on American Ninja Warrior 13, replacing the Archer Alley from its past two recent appearances.
Competitors must run across three boards to reach the landing platform. The obstacle had a similar configuration to the Diving Boards, except the boards would slide forward and backward when the competitors put their weight on them. Once enough weight was applied to the boards, it would tilt downwards.
Two competitors failed this obstacle: DeShawn Harris and most shockingly, Meagan Martin.
Other Season Appearances[]

American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 3[]
The Slide Surfer returned in American Ninja Warrior: Women's Championship 3 as the first obstacle in Stage One. All 13 competitors were able to complete it.

Other Appearances[]
Ninja Warrior France[]
In Ninja Warrior France 7, the Slide Surfer, locally called Les Planches à Ressorts (literally Springboards), appeared as the first obstacle in every qualification round, replacing the Burn Rubber from the previous season.
Then, in Ninja Warrior France 8, the Slide Surfer re-appeared as the first obstacle this time in every semifinals round, replacing the Shrinking Steps from last season. Due to the nature of Semifinals being a side-by-side course, there would be instances competitors would fail the obstacle due to rushing. However, this did not occur, as it only eliminated one out of 64 competitors who attempted it.
Ninja Warrior Germany[]
On Ninja Warrior Germany 7, Slide Surfer appeared as the first obstacle of the Semifinals. However after the final board, competitors must grab a dangling ring then swing to the landing platform.
It returned in Ninja Warrior Germany 8, as the first obstacle of Stage 1. However the ring at the end had been removed.
