American Ninja Warrior 6's Slack Ladder in Venice Beach
The Slack Ladder is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the third obstacle on American Ninja Warrior 6 in Venice Beach.
Competitors must walk across 18 feet nylon-made ladder, with four rungs to step on. They could either walk on the sides of the ladder, or walk on the rungs of the ladder, in similar fashion to the Bungee Bridge. However, unlike the Bungee Bridge, competitors were not allowed to touch the obstacle with their hands. If they did so, they would be disqualified.
This obstacle and its consequences would be immediately felt. Not only did it slow the taping session to a snail, but it was also responsible for countless disqualifications, including Jesse La Flair and Levi Keller. Competitors were taking so long to complete this obstacle it led to there being barely any walk-on competitors, as the producers were running out of time to tape the episode.
Because of the obstacle obstructing taping in the qualifiers, it was heavily nerfed in the city finals. As such, no one failed it.
