Shouheki Goe (障壁越) was an obstacle introduced in KUNOICHI 2003. It consisted of two hurdle-walls, where the second one was taller than the first, which competitors must jump over. It was designed to be a time waster however, no one spent much time on it. It thus was similar to the later Sanrenchou in that regard. This obstacle lasted only one tournament and it was removed in KUNOICHI 2004.
The obstacle was similar to the Cat Grab in American Ninja Warrior 6 during the Denver Finals in terms of concept, where competitors had to leap from the first one to the second one, however, unlike the Shouheki Goe, the Cat Grab had water under it, forcing competitors to directly jump from the first wall to the second.
