The Shomouheki (消耗壁) is the final obstacle in the First Stage in KUNOICHI 8, known as the Exhausting Wall in G4 broadcast, similar to the Japanese name. Directly suceeding the Ikadawatashi, the obstacle is a net, 5 meters in height, that the competitor must climb to reach a platform. The finish flags are located at the top of this platform. This obstacle is similar to the Rope Ladder in SASUKE. Despite climbing atop, competitors that failed to grab the flag would be considered to have failed this obstacle.
From the course reboot in KUNOICHI 9, Shomouheki was replaced by large-hamster Cannon Ball, removing any semblance of rope ladder obstacles (except for KUNOICHI 2) in the First Stage of KUNOICHI, and being renamed as the RED Stage.
