Shane Kosugi (シェイン・コスギ) is an actor who competed seven times, often competing with his older brother, Kane Kosugi.

He debuted in SASUKE 2. During the tournament, he managed to complete the First Stage with 5 seconds left. In the Second Stage he struggled and was too slow, and this resulted in a time out on the Wall Lifting Run.

In SASUKE 3 he started brilliantly, flying up the Maruta Nobori, but he couldn't hold on to the new Rolling Maruta and he failed there.

He returned for SASUKE 4 and wore a very high number, #96. He managed to make his way through most of the First Stage, but struggled and ultimately timed out atop the Rope Climb.

He returned for SASUKE 6. During the tournament it was announced that he had a back injury, but he still made his way easily through the first half of the First Stage. On the Jump Hang his feet almost touched the water, but he was able to clear it and the rest of the stage. In the Second Stage, he managed to clear the obstacles with little trouble and finished that stage for the first time ever. In his Third Stage debut, however, he struggled on the Body Prop due to his injury and failed there soon after starting.

In SASUKE 7 he would once again fly through the course. Though he took two tries on the Soritatsu Kabe, he cleared with 1.2 seconds left. In the Second Stage, he managed to easily take on the new Chain Reaction and clear. In the Third Stage, he once again struggled on the Body Prop and failed there for the second time in a row.

He returned for SASUKE 8, wearing #85. He managed to overcome the new Godantobi which had taken out half of the competitors during that tournament. On the Jump Hang he managed to clear with a terrific jump, but on the Soritatsu Kabe he slipped inches from clearing it due to the rain on the wall that had felled so many people before him, and he eventually timed out there.

He competed for the last time in SASUKE 9, but he shockingly went out on the Ōdama, also without the support of his brother Kane.

On September of 2016, Acko Mladevonic asked Shane Kosugi on Twitter if he will return for SASUKE. Shane replied with ”No, I don’t have any plans yet, but maybe in the future”. Shane May return to SASUKE in the future.
