In the regular Ninja Israel seasons, the Semi-finals, also known as חצי הגמר in the Hebrew language, is always serving as the second course for all of the competitors of Ninja Israel.
Semi-finals overview[]
Unlike most international SASUKE/Ninja Warrior formats, Ninja Israel have two type of Semi-finals: Regular Semifinals and Repechage Semifinal.
Regular Semifinals (Ninja Israel - )[]
Regular Semifinals is the Semi-finals for all regular competitors (and celebrity competitors in VIP Heat during the first three seasons) who were advanced from the Qualifiers. All regular competitors must face 7 obstacles (8 obstacles in Ninja Warrior Israel 5) in each Semi-finals. Top competitors who have fastest and furthest results were advanced to the Finals.
Starting from Ninja Warrior Israel 4, competitor in each semifinal who have better result but not advance to the Finals were advanced to Repechage Semifinal.
Repechage Semifinal (Ninja Israel 4 - )[]
On Ninja Warrior Israel 4, a Semifinal for competitors who have second chance to reattempted the Heat, known as Repechage Semifinal was introduced. The fastest competitor in this semifinal would receive a Golden Ticket, advancing them to the Finals.
Format overview and Course Layout[]
Ninja Israel[]
On Ninja Warrior Israel, there were four semifinals. Just like international SASUKE/Ninja Warrior formats, competitors in all Semifinals must face same seven obstacles (unlike Qualifiers that most obstacles were changed in each Heats) with no time limit. This is the course layout of the Semifinals:
- The first obstacle was the grip and technique-intensive obstacle, in this case Pole Grasper.
- The second obstacle was the upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Ring Swing.
- The third obstacle was the balance based obstacle, in this case Spinning Log.
- The fourth obstacle was a Spider Walk related obstacle, in this case Jumping Spider.
- The fifth obstacle was the combined of Salmon Ladder and another upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Rope Swing.
- The sixth obstacle was the sliding/rolling track obstacle, in this case Rolling Log.
- The seventh and final obstacle was the climbing obstacle, in this case Chimney Climb.
At the end of each Semifinal, in total 28 best/fastest competitors, with each 7 best/fastest competitors of each semifinals would advance to the four stages Final course.
Ninja Israel 2[]
On Ninja Warrior Israel 2, there were still four semifinals. Unlike the previous season, each semifinal have different obstacles instead of same obstacles for all four semifinals, in a similar to City Finals/Semifinals format from American Ninja Warrior 4 to American Ninja Warrior 14. The course layout was different in each semifinal:
- The first obstacle was the jump-strength obstacle, in this case Propeller Bar.
- The second obstacle was still upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Swinging Spikes.
- The third obstacle was:
- the combined of Salmon Ladder and another upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Ring Toss (in Semifinal 1 and 3).
- another upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Ring Jump (in Semifinal 2 and 4).
- The fourth obstacle was still a Spider Walk related obstacle, in this case Bouncing Spider.
- The fifth obstacle was:
- the balance based obstacle, in this case Spinning Log (in Semifinal 1 and 3).
- another upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Circuit Board (in Semifinal 2 and 4).
- The sixth obstacle was still another upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Sky Hooks.
- The seventh and final obstacle was still Chimney Climb.
Just like the previous season, at the end of each Semifinal, in total 28 best/fastest competitors, with each 7 best/fastest competitors of each semifinals would advance to the four stages Final course.
Ninja Israel 3[]
On Ninja Warrior Israel 3, there were still four semifinals. The format and the number of competitors advanced to the Finals was same as the previous season. However, the route and course layout was changed once again:
- The first obstacle was still jump-strength obstacle, in this case Tick Tock.
- The second obstacle was:
- the sliding/rolling track obstacle, in this case Rolling Log (in Semifinal 1 and 3).
- the grip and technique-intensive obstacle, in this case Parallel Pipes (in Semifinal 2 and 4).
- The third obstacle was the upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Ring Jump (in Semifinal 1 and 3) or Dangerous Curves (in Semifinal 2 and 4).
- The fourth obstacle was the balance based obstacle, in this case Log Runner
- The fifth obstacle was the combined of Salmon Ladder and upper-body strength obstacle, in this case The Wedge (in Semifinal 1 and 3) or Sky Hooks (in Semifinal 2 and 4).
- The sixth obstacle was the still another upper-body strength obstacle, in this case Rolling Thunder (in Semifinal 1 and 3) or En Garde (in Semifinal 2 and 4).
- The seventh and final obstacle was the Second Stage's Wall Lifting obstacle iteration (in this case Wall Flip) instead of Chimney Climb.
- Unlike the previous season, serveral obstacles in Semifinal 2 (such as Dangerous Curves and En Garde) were modified in Semifinal 4.
Just like the previous season, at the end of each Semifinal, in total 28 best/fastest competitors, with each 7 best/fastest competitors of each semifinals would advance to the four stages Final course.
