This policy outlines what is allowed, not allowed, and required when a user creates a page for a competition.

Posting a page including info about a competition in an objective manner is fine, but we don't wish to encourage wikisquatters starting hundreds of competition pages on a site meant to be mostly informative.

Required[]

All competition pages will be required to follow these specifications.

Naming[]

The competition page should always be located under the main namespace on which the competition is located using that competition's name as it is spelled in competitions. For example, [[SASUKE 17]] or [[Pro Sportsman No. 1 2009]].

Contents[]

All competition pages must contain:

The {{Infobox Competition}} at the top of the page.
At least three (3) sentences in English containing useful information about the competition,, e.g., known competitors, history of the competition and competitors in this specific competition, obstacles in the competition and their history, number of stages and obstacles in said stages, etc.

Categorization[]

The competition page should also be properly categorized:

[[Category:Competitions]] - Automatically added by {{Infobox Competition}} template.
[[Category:SASUKE competitions]] - If a SASUKE competition.
[[Category:KUNOICHI competitions]] - If a KUNOICHI competition.
[[Category:VIKING competitions]] - If a VIKING competition.
[[Category:Sportsman competitions]] - If a Sportsman competition.

Not allowed[]

Posting the following types of information will result in the competition page being edited or deleted:

Biased information - The content on a Wiki is meant to be informative; this includes competition pages. Competition pages, like all others, should be written from a neutral point of view and must follow the Neutral Point of View Policy.
In general terms: don't put any material on the page that requires it to be updated frequently.

Allowed[]

The information here is allowed and encouraged in order to create an informative competition page:

A picture of the competition, such as the start position.
The position of the competition, such as the 14th competition
Short history or description of the competition.
Any possible blog or related website links.

This is not necessarily a complete list. We do not mind you publishing other information that is useful or interesting to others, but it illustrates the gist of it. Pages in Sasukepedia are there for the visitors!

Competition stubs[]

Stubs for competitions can be created in preparation for expanding the article with more information. If you create a stub, use the {{Stub/Competition}} tag at the top of your article. Competition pages marked as stubs which have not been edited for 90 days will be deleted. Competition pages are considered a stub if it does not contain the required information.

Enforcing the policy[]

A page not containing the required information should be marked {{Stub/Competition}}.
A competition page stub should be marked {{Speedydelete}} after 90 days if it has not been fixed.
A page containing disallowed content can be edited to comply, or you can mark it with {{Violation/Competition}}, which places it in Category:Pages with possible policy violations for someone else to fix.
Users that insist on having information on the competition page that is not allowed, and revert improvements others make, will be considered Vandals.

Summary[]

Please remember that Sasukepedia is a place where users go to obtain information about Monster9-related content, and would rather not get spammed with useless information. competitions are certainly a large part of the Monster9 sports entertainment shows, and can be represented here, but they must follow the proper criteria and not participate in spewing useless, biased information or wikisquatting. Your target audience is not yourself; it is people interested in Monster9's shows. All competition pages should reflect this!
