Sam Goodall, also known as the Tradie Ninja, is a carpenter from Albany, Western Australia, who firstly competed on Australian Ninja Warrior.
Australian Ninja Warrior
On Australian Ninja Warrior, Sam fell on the fourth obstacle (the Cargo with Laché) in his heat (Heat 3) and finished in 16th place. However, in his semifinal (Semifinal 3), he completed the course and finished in fifth place, despite his head was hit by the Big Wheel. During the grand final, he went out on the Jump Hang in Stage One.
Australian Ninja Warrior 2
On Australian Ninja Warrior 2, Sam once again fell on the fourth obstacle (this time, the Basket Toss) in his heat (Heat 2) and finished in ninth place. In his semifinal (Semifinal 4), he revealed a story that he was infected by Ross River virus, which affected his performance on the course. Despite that, he still made all the way to the eighth obstacle (the Hourglass to Tramp to Cargo Net) and finished in sixth place. During the grand final, despite competing while also battling with illness from the virus, he was able to complete Stage One with just about 1 second left. However, in Stage Two, after completing the third obstacle (the Spider Jump), since his stamina had already dropped because of that illness, he couldn't continue his run and then withdrew from the competition.
