SASUKE Vietnam 3 (also known as SASUKE Vietnam 2017) is third season of SASUKE/Ninja Warrior format in Vietnam. The show broadcast from June 22nd to October 5th, 2017 on VTV3. It is the first competition after the total victories of David Campbell, Lê Văn Thực and Nguyễn Phước Huynh.
Thành Trung returned as the host for his second consecutive season. Phạm Anh Khoa replaced Nguyên Khang as the co-host. Thiều Bảo Trang replaced Diệp Lâm Anh as the sideline reporter.
Auditions[]
Auditions were held in Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong. The auditions have 4 challenges. The maximum score for each challenge is 10 points. The time limit for the first 3 challenge was 1 minute. The results of three auditions will be combined, and more competitors will advance to the final in Binh Duong
① Pull-up (40 times)
If a competitor cannot do at least 5 pull-ups, he will be eliminated immediately.
② Push-up (60 times)
If a competitor cannot do at least 7 push-ups, he will be eliminated immediately.
③ 60-kg tire flipping (40 times)
If a competitor cannot flip the tire at least 5 times, he will be eliminated immediately.
④ 100m running in 20.4 seconds
The competitor need to run 25m, turn back, run 25m, turn back, ... until he finishes 100m. The time limit for this challenge is 29 seconds.
Filmings[]
Similar to past two SASUKE Vietnam seasons, the show was filmed at Becamex Tokyu Garden City.
Prizes[]
The prizes on this season was kept from SASUKE Vietnam 2, without any modifications:
- Top 5 competitors had fastest time on Stage 2 could get VND 10.000.000
- Top 3 competitors had fastest time on Stage 3 could get VND 30.000.000
- Competitor had fastest time on Final Stage/ Mt. Midoriyama could get VND 800.000.000 and as the champion on the season.
Competition format[]
For the first time in the show, the competitors' name were shown at the backdrop of the Stage One course, just before they ran the course (similar as the one used in the First Stage from SASUKE 31 onward).
The course underwent a modest renovation after Campbell, Huynh and Thực's kanzenseiha:
- The First Stage featured the only new obstacle, the Step Slider and the modification of Jumping Spider in Stage 1A.
- In Stage Two, only the Unstable Bridge was modified.
- Stage Three have three new obstacles: Floating Boards, Hang Climbing (with Pole Grasper served before) and Flying Bar, along with the modification of the Spider Flip and the new Crazy Cliffhanger.
Starting from this season, the Stage One would have time limit, but also make the Stage Two had unlimited time.
During the broadcast, in Stage Three, the number of competitors attempted Stage Three also appeared, made it similar to SASUKE RISING era.
Stage One[]
Stage One is a split-stage. The first two obstacles are the same, but the producer will decide which competitors run the right-handed course (Stage 1A part) or the left-handed course (Stage 1B part).

Note: According to SASUKE Maniac and comments on Facebook, the producers had forgot to turn on the klaxon sounds for about 20-30 competitors on Stage 1A. Among them, there were 3 competitors timed out on the top of Rope Ladder, but they didn't know and still celebrated after pressing the buzzer until producers said that they had timed out. To prevent conflicts, those would be "wild-carded" to Stage 2.
