Intro[]
The SASUKE 43 Trials, announced on September 9, 2025 are a series of preliminary events designed to test people for SASUKE. 500 were chosen to compete in five different qualifying rounds with the number of competitors decreasing as the rounds progress. In the Last Stage, the top nine remaining competitors would race through a First Stage replica for a chance to compete in SASUKE 43. The broadcast airs in a span of five episodes for five consecutive days from December 8 to December 12, 2025 on the streaming service TVer.
Qualifying First Stage[]
500 competitors would be grouped into five colored groups of 100 competitors competed in a survival event known as Endless Udetatefuse (エンドレス腕立て伏せ). This stage has a similar function to The Final Push-Up. Each colored group were subdivided into two small sections of 10 competitors compete together as a batch led by a known SASUKE competitor:
- First batch consisted of bib #1-20 is led by Urushihara Yuuji,
- Second, third, fourth and fifth batch consisted of bib #21-40, #41-60, #61-80 and #81-100 are unknown.
Competitors would attempt to do as many push-ups as possible following the beat of the taiko drum, trying to outlast one another. The remaining 20 competitors from each colored group, totaling to an amount of 100 competitors, would advance to the next stage.

Qualifying Second Stage[]
100 remaining competitors were subdivided into four teams by lottery that consists of 25 competitors regardless of colored group competed in an event known as Unmeikyōdōtai Dodgeball (運命共同体ドッジボール). Two teams would battle it out to eliminate as many opponents as possible within 10 minutes. If one team managed to eliminate all of their opponents from the other or having the most number of teammates in their own team would advance to the next stage. Similar to the rules in dodgeball, if the thrown ball were to hit the opponent without bouncing with the exception of their face, the opponent is eliminated. Double elimination may occur if the thrown ball rebounds and hit other opponents. However, if your opponent were to catch the deflected ball, the opponent is safe.
After the time elapsed, whichever team that satisfy the winning conditions, totalizing to 50 competitors regardless of the status of their teammates, would advance to the next stage.

Qualifying Third Stage[]
50 remaining competitors regardless of colored group competed in an event known as Jigoku No Jikyūsō (地獄の持久走), which made its return from SASUKE 40 Trials. The groups are the winning team from the previous stage. Each group would undergo three races along a 1000m marathon. After completing a race, all competitors would rest for within a minute which begun on the first competitor that complete each race. In other words, when competitors complete a race fast, they have more time to rest and vice versa for being slow. Each race eliminates ten competitors in the first, five in the second and two competitors in the third and final race. This stage has a similar function to Tail Impossible, a notable Sportsman event.
The remaining 8 competitors from each group, totaling to an amount of 16 competitors, would advance to the next stage.

Qualifying Fourth Stage[]
16 remaining competitors were paired into matchups by lottery regardless of colored group competed in an event known as Midoriyama Circuit (緑山サーキット). There are three stations where each competitor would need to complete all of them as fast as possible. The stations consist of pushing a tire along an inclined track, pushing a wheelbarrow filled with plastic water containers across the scaffolding decks and traverse a set of monkey bars and dash towards to the finish line. In addition, after a competitor finish pushing the tire, they are not confined to a single fixed path and may choose an open lane nearest to them. If competitors were to drop a single plastic water container while moving across the decks, they must pick up the container and place it back onto the wheelbarrow to proceed.
In the end, 8 winners from each matchup plus the fastest loser, would advance to the Last Stage.

Qualifying Last Stage[]
Nine remaining competitors known as finalists would attempt a First Stage replica with a time trial format. Through a lottery, the running order of the competitors were drawn. At least three competitors who managed to clear this stage the fastest would be awarded a chance to compete in SASUKE 43.
