SASUKE 43 (officially, 「SASUKE2025」) was officially announced by TBS via Twitter and a trailer posted on the official SASUKE YouTube channel on April 25, 2025. It will be the fifth tournament after Morimoto Yūsuke's second kanzenseiha.

Applications[]

The applications were announced on April 25, 2025, on their Official Website and Twitter. The deadline for the applications is on June 29, 2025. The applications intended for senior high school students was released on May 21, 2025, on their Official Website, Twitter and YouTube. The deadline for the applications was slated to be on July 31, 2025.

Trials[]

It was confirmed via Inui's weekly talk show that an Idol Trials would be held again.

Filming[]

On April 27, Inui confirmed via his weekly talk show that filming was scheduled to take place in late October or early November, just as it has since SASUKE 38. Due to the high clear rate over the preceding tournaments, external funding was obtained to renew the course, with a heavy focus on the First Stage. Eight First Stage obstacles, plus a handful of obstacles planned for subsequent stages, were submitted to the fabrication team. There are expectation that anywhere between four to seven new obstacles will appear in the final course. If proven true, it could be considered as a massive overhaul of the course.

In addition, for the first time since the inception of SASUKE, the motocross track at Midoriyama has been closed, resulting in the removal of the space restrictions previously limiting the First Stage's length.
