Intro[]
The SASUKE 21 Trials were the largest SASUKE trials since SASUKE 17's. From over 1000 entries sent in to Monster9, 80 were chosen to compete in the trials. From those 80, they would be split up into groups of four with at most the top two fastest clears advancing to the Final Stage. In the Final Stage, the remaining competitors would race through a course with the eight fastest times getting to compete in SASUKE 21, it is broadcasts though SASUKE Maniac during the show last run, which also broadcasts SASUKE 21 Navi.

Obstacles[]
① Shuttle Run (シャトルラン)
- Competitors have to run to grab a tennis ball and return to the start of the runway to place the ball into a basket.
② Destiny Rope (ディスティニーロープ)
- Competitors have to traverse a rope that is parallel to the competitor. The first three competitors to clear may only advance to the next obstacles.
③ Jump Ring (ジャンプリング)
- Competitors must jump on a trampoline to latch onto a ring before sliding down the track.
④ Sandbag Lift (サンドバックリフト)
- Competitors must lift two 30kg sandbags to a scaffolding.
⑤ Shinzou Yaburi no Saka [Literally: Heart Break Hill] (心臓破りの坂)
- Competitors have to run up a giant slope that flattened out about 2/3 of the way up before slanting upwards again. The first two competitors to grab the red flags may advance.

Final Stage[]
Of the 80 people to attempt the First Stage, 32 were able to clear and move onto the Final Stage. The Final Stage was a time trial composed of seven obstacles. Only the top eight times would win a chance to compete in SASUKE 21, so speed was a must.
Obstacles[]
① 4 Hurdles (4連ハードル)
- Competitors must jump over the first hurdle, under the second hurdle, over the third, and under the last hurdle to advance.
② Rope Cling (ロープクリング)
- Competitors must traverse two ropes parallel to the competitor. Halfway through, competitors must make a transition to the second rope.
③ Jump Ring (ジャンプリング)
- This time, competitors must run across a thin runway before jumping to the platform.
④ Shinzou Yaburi no Saka [Literally: Heart Break Hill] (心臓破りの坂)
- Competitors have to run up a giant slope that flattened out about 2/3 of the way up before slanting upwards again.
⑤ Danchigaibou [Literally: Uneven Poles] (段違棒)
- Competitors have to run across two stationary logs. The first log is bigger than the second.
⑥ Power Hanger (パワーハンガー)
- Competitors have to traverse a ledge using their fingers. This is similar to the Skywalk in SASUKE 19.
⑦ Final Ladder (ファイナルラダー) (Ladder Bridge)
- Competitors have to traverse multiple sets of monkey bars to advance.
