Rope Reverse (ロープリバース) was a First Stage obstacle that was introduced as the fifth obstacle in SASUKE 16. The obstacle consisted of two platforms, one directly on top of the other, 2.5 metres apart. Competitors will start on the obstacle by climbing to the upper platform, grab a rope, then jump off while holding on it to land on the lower platform. The rope will catch the railing placed on the upper platform when they swing below, creating a momentum that will throw the competitors to the lower platform if they can hang on perfectly.
A relatively easy obstacle, it only eliminated six competitors (Hata Shinya, Hayasaka Keisuke, Kawahara Takuya) during its lifespan and was replaced by Circle Slider in the following tournament.
