Ronald "Ron" Schmidt is a furniture maker who first competed in St. Louis in American Ninja Warrior 6.

Schmidt first competed in St. Louis where he failed the Double Tilt Ladder in qualifying after missing the transition in between the ladders four times and lost his grip and didn’t make the Top 30 at the end of the night.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
He returned to compete Pittsburgh in American Ninja Warrior 7. In qualifying, he almost lost his balance on Snake Crossing, but he recovered and finished the course, placing 15th. His run in the city finals was digested, but it was shown that he failed the Floating Monkey Bars. However, he placed 15th overall and moved on to Vegas. His run on Stage One was cut. It was later revealed via social media that he failed the Propeller Bar.
