Scott's debut happened at the Venice Qualifiers in season three. Her run was shown in full and it only lasted seconds. She slipped off the Quad Steps almost immediately.

After her disappointing debut, Scott remained determined to compete. She appeared at the Midsouth Qualifiers being held in Dallas. Her run was shown in full on television. She failed the Jump Hang after not getting a strong bounce off the trampoline. Of all the women to compete in the Midsouth region, she went the furthest the fastest (Beating Erin Flowers' time)
Since Risa Scott had the best result among the female competitors in her regional, the producers decided to give her a Wild Card spot in Vegas. She was one of the first women to ever receive a Wild Card selection.
In Vegas, Scott's run was digested. Just like the year prior, she saw her attempt foiled by the first obstacle. She lost her footing on the Step Slider and never returned to the show.
