Ricky Vu is a Chick-Fil-A manager and contestant on American Ninja Warrior.
American Ninja Warrior 7[]
Ricky first competed in the seventh season of ANW in Orlando. He made a great run making it to the fifth obstacle, the Double Tilt Ladder before falling. However, he failed to make the top 30, placing 32nd overall at the end of the night.
American Ninja Warrior 8[]
He returned in Atlanta in American Ninja Warrior 8. His run was cut, but he failed the Pipe Fitter and like ANW 7, missed out of the top 30 by two spots. He placed 32nd overall again.
American Ninja Warrior 9[]
Ricky competed in Daytona Beach in ANW 9. His run was cut in qualifying, but he failed the Rolling Thunder. For once, however, he placed in the top 30, securing 27th place at the end of the Daytona Beach qualifying round.
Sadly, his city finals debut was extremely short. Although he attempted the course, midway through the Floating Steps, he suffered a leg cramp and could not continue.
American Ninja Warrior 10[]
Vu returned in American Ninja Warrior 10 in Miami. His run was cut, but he failed the Ring Turn. This marked the first time he did not fail the fifth obstacle in qualifying.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
After a five-season absence, Vu competed in ANW 16. He competed in the seventh qualifier round, where he once again failed the fourth obstacle, this time being Duck Duck Goose. His run beat out Isaiah Lee for the 13th spot on the leaderboard, which sent Vu to the runoff races against Michael Eckert, who placed 12th.
During the runoffs, it proved to be a close race. Eckert ultimately ended up failing the Wingnuts, while Vu completed that obstacle and won the race, sending him to the semifinals.
