Repechage in KUNOICHI 2009, viewed from the top
The Repechage or Haisha Fukkatsusen (敗者復活戦) in Japanese is a second chance stage, in which a competitor gets a second chance on the First Stage. This premiered in KUNOICHI 2009, and has not been seen elsewhere.
Competitors walk across a 50cm long beam at a 90-degree angle, after spinning on a turntable for 20 seconds, in similar fashion to the "Dizzy Dummy" in an unrelated show, Wipeout, as well as Family Spin from VIKING's Family Muscle competitions. The first woman to catch the red flag advances to the Second Stage. This stage is only utilized when all four women that attempt the First Stage must failed or timed out any obstacles.
