Bakkar made his debut at the Southwest Qualifiers held in Venice. His run was shown in full and he rocketed through the course. His finishing time was 0:54:10, placing him 3rd overall. The primary angle the show went with his how Bakkar had quit his job in order to have the time to compete for this series.
In the Regional Finals Bakkar's run was digested. Like the previous day, Bakkar had no issues clearing the course. His time of 3:12:74 was enough for 4th overall.
At the National Finals we finally saw Bakkar show signs of struggle. His run was shown in full. At the Giant Swing Bakkar almost missed the dismount and he had a miss at the Warped Wall. Despite having these small errors, Bakkar cleared his third course in a row with 19 seconds left.
Bakkar's Stage Two run was shown in full. He struggled with the Double Salmon Ladder and eventually failed it, ending his $500,000 dream.
