Pythagoras (ピタゴラス) was an obstacle in the Greece Stage (2nd Stage) of VIKING Family Muscle. The obstacle featured a long Reverse Conveyor blocked by 8 gates. To pass each gate, you must complete Parley (Addition problem) or Tactical Parley (Subtraction Problem), in an alternating fashion. After each question, the corresponding gate opens. The obstacle is cleared once all 8 gates are passed. Unlike regular variations of the Parley, an incorrect answer is not an automatic failure, but would instead result in a 10 second time penalty.
The obstacle itself featured blue and white stripes, meant to resemble the Greek flag. The obstacle is named after Greek philosopher Pythagoras, known for his works in advancing the field of mathematics.
