The Power Force (パワーフォース) was the second event introduced in the first Pro Sportsman Tournament in Pro Sportsman No. 1 1995 and has been a notable Sportsman event ever since.
The event itself involves two competitors connected to a rope on their backs, with the length of the rope being shorter than the length of the entire track. Once a signal is played, competitors must run towards a buzzer that is in opposite directions of the track. As both competitors run in opposite directions, this causes the rope to straighten, limiting the movement of competitors.
The first competitor who presses the buzzer wins the match and advances to the next rounds of the event. These matches would occur until the final round to indicate the Winner of the Event.
In its first Sportsman appearance in Pro Sportsman No. 1 1993, the event would take place on a long matting compared to the long platforms that have been utilized in further appearances. This matting gave an opportunity for competitors to grab hold onto the matting for extra leverage while dragging themselves along the track.
This event would appear in twelve Pro Sportsman Tournaments, six Celebrity Survival Battles, and all three Amateur Sportsman Tournaments. This would also become one of the few Sportsman events that appeared in Sports Danshi Grand Prix.
