Pole Bridge (ポールブリッジ), called Pillar Path in English broadcasts, was the first Third Stage obstacle in the first two SASUKE tournaments.
It consisted of nine unstable foam columns; each column was 1.8 metres high and had a diameter of 30 cm. Competitors had to walk across them in order to reach the landing platform. In SASUKE 2, the foam columns were replaced with logs, giving sturdier pillars on which to step.
Although it eliminated Yamamoto Yoshihito and Kane Kosugi in SASUKE 1, it eliminated no one in the next tournament, probably due to the obstacle's modification, prompting the producers to replace it with Pole Jump in SASUKE 3.
