The Pipe Hold (パイプホールド) is a brand new KUNOICHI obstacle, first appearing in KUNOICHI 9's Red Stage (First Stage), in which replaced the Maruta Bashi from KUNOICHI 8.
Similar to the Burasagari Maruta and Kaiten Tsutsu, competitors must maneuver through a log, except competitors cannot stand on the log. Instead, competitors must sit on the log, crawl onto it in order to pass. The log will spun as so competitors may have to maintain their balance in order not to get thrown off from the log. Due to its low knockout rate, the obstacle alongside the Shaking Bridge was replaced by the Screwdriver in KUNOICHI 12.
