Philip Scott is a web manager from Plymouth, Michigan. Philip has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism. He is a massive fan of Ninja Warrior, and prepared many years for his debut in American Ninja Warrior 11. He currently serves as the Creative Director at the National Ninja League and is a coach at Gripz Gym in Southfield, Michigan.

American Ninja Warrior 11[]

Philip made his American Ninja Warrior debut in Season 11, competing in Cincinnati. His qualifying run was cut, but he made it all the way to the Slingshot before falling at the last set of cradles. He placed 22nd overall and advanced to the City Finals.

Hours before the City Finals, Philip had multiple panic attacks, and he considered withdrawing altogether. With the support of his friends and family, he fought through his anxiety and committed himself to running. According to an Instagram post, Philip requested that he be the first runner of the night, which the producers allowed. He exacted revenge on Slingshot and was the first person to attempt and beat Slam Dunk. Unfortunately, he ended up failing the Spinball Wizard, after he was unable to grasp the second set of handles. His run was enough for him to advance to Vegas, as he ended up placing 9th. His run was also the first to be broadcasted, and he later revealed that his fail on Spinball Wizard was a combination of typical exhaustion induced from running the City Finals course, being drained from his panic attacks, and gripping the spheres of Spinball Wizard incorrectly.

On Stage One, Philip had a close call on the Double Dipper, landing on his rear at the edge of the platform. Although he recovered to complete the obstacle, he got a bad bounce on the Jumping Spider and fell.

Philip's rookie season was chosen as the number-one most memorable moment of season 11 in an American Ninja Warrior Nation poll.

American Ninja Warrior 13[]

After not being selected for American Ninja Warrior 12, he returned for his second season, participating in the last qualifying round. His run in qualifying was not shown, but it was known that he finished the qualifying course, hitting his first ever buzzer, placing 14th overall. He later competed in the second semifinals episode, where he was briefly shown while introducing the new Padlock. Like many that episode, he spun out on the second wheel. His time to the obstacle placed him 16th overall, meaning that he missed out on the National Finals.

Oddly enough, despite actually placing 16th, Philip did not compete in Vegas as an alternate. Instead, Will Schlageter, who placed 17th, took that spot. It is possible that Philip received an invite, but he declined.

Philip did not compete in American Ninja Warrior 14, but was shown was credited to be Ethan Gardulski's inspiration.

Philip is set to compete in American Ninja Warrior 17.
