He competed in Philadelphia, where he made it to the fifth obstacle, the Lightning Bolts, before losing his grip. He managed to snag 27th overall and advance to the city finals.
However, in the city finals, he failed to match up to his qualifying performance, failing one obstacle beforehand. He failed the Wingnuts and placed 30th overall, as he did not qualify for the National Finals in Las Vegas.
