American Ninja Warrior 4[]
In American Ninja Warrior 4, he competed in the Southeast Region, where he failed the Warped Wall in qualifying. However, he was fast enough to make it into 26th place. In the finals, he was once again cut, but he cleared the course in a time of 3:29.01, barely qualifying for Vegas in 15th place. His Stage 1 run was fully shown, and he was the first person to beat the Jumping Spider on US soil. However, he didn't raise his feet on the Half Pipe Attack, and went out there.
American Ninja Warrior 5[]
He returned for American Ninja Warrior 5, once again competing in Miami. His run in qualifying was digested, but it was shown that he cleared the course in the 17th fastest time. In the Miami finals, his run was cut, leaving his result unknown. There was a popular theory that Jason Gupton ran as his replacement in City Finals, but Jason Gupton competed in the City Finals as result of an error made by production during qualifying. Paul O'Connor was not injured or withdrew. His result remains unknown to this day, with popular theories being he failed either the Slider Jump or Salmon Ladder.
