Owen Dyer is a young entrepreneur from Bentonville, Arkansas. He has competed in four seasons of American Ninja Warrior.
Owen has left a huge impression on the show by displaying not only his physical capabilities, but his showmanship, his bond with his younger brother Hayes Dyer, and an eye-catching pink flamingo hat.

American Ninja Warrior 13[]
He first competed in the third episode of qualifiers as a 16-year-old rookie. Despite being relatively unknown, Owen left a huge impression in his first appearance. Owen put up a strong run, finishing the course, although he missed his first attempt at the Warped Wall. Despite this, he placed 4th overall at the end of the night.
He later competed in the first episode of semifinals. His run there was digested, but he thought about attempting the Inverter at Split Decision. Ultimately, he chose the balance obstacle, Tuning Forks, a choice which backfired. This was enough to earn him a ticket to the national finals in 5th place.
On Stage One, his run was once again digested, but he was one of many to fail the Jumping Spider.
American Ninja Warrior 14[]
In American Ninja Warrior 14, Owen competed on the fourth qualifying episode. Although his run was digested, he backed up his strong rookie performance with a third place run to the buzzer.
He later competed in the fourth and last semifinal episode. His run was once again digested, but at Split Decision he chose the balance obstacle once again, this time being the Diving Boards. He avenged his balance fail from the previous season by completing the Diving Boards. He then climbed to the top of the Spider Trap and hit his first semifinals buzzer. He placed 4th overall, earning him a ticket to the national finals for the second straight year.
On Stage One, his run was digested for a third time, but he got revenge on the Jumping Spider. He later survived a stumble on the Dipping Birds and then cleared Stage One with 13.72 seconds left, hitting his third buzzer of the season. On Stage Two, he was the first runner. He reached the fifth obstacle, the Hornet's Nest, only to fail on the dismount. His fall concluded an amazing sophomore season and a perfect season (hitting every buzzer) to that point.
American Ninja Warrior 16[]
In American Ninja Warrior 16, Owen competed in the second qualifier. He once again completed the qualifying course, placing 4th on the leaderboard. Owen then raced Steven Cen during the Semifinals. While Steven failed Spin Hopper, Owen completed the course, earning his third trip to the National Finals.
Owen competed in the first half of the National Finals of Stage One. His run was digested, but he struggled with The Gambler and unfortunately timed out on Thread the Needle, ending his season on a disappointing note.
American Ninja Warrior 17[]
Owen returned to compete in American Ninja Warrior 17 during the first qualifying episode. It was mentioned that he was initially unsure about returning after falling into a depression period from last season. However, his younger brother Hayes motivated him to make a return to ANW.
In the qualifiers, he nearly failed on the dismount of Log Grip, but survived and had no problems with the rest of the course. He once again cleared the course, this time placing 6th overall.
During the semifinals, he competed in the first episode. His run was cut, but he revealed on his Instagram that he seriously injured his shoulder on the Log Grip, specifically on the second drop. He was able to complete the obstacle before he withdrew from the rest of his run.[1][2] Because he withdrew from the competition early however, this does mark the first time where he did not advance to the national finals.
Owen sadly couldnโt run American Ninja Warrior 18 because of the Log Grip injury but his little brother Hayes was able to compete.
