American Ninja Warrior 14's Over Under
Over Under is an obstacle, firstly introduced as the second obstacle during the third and fourth episode of the semifinals on American Ninja Warrior 14.
Competitors must swing from a stationary lache bar onto a rotating bar consisting of a large frame with a semicircular ring, then wait for the rotating bar to tip either forwards or backwards. Once it is locked in place, they must transition to another stationary bar and repeat the process.
As the name implies, there were two ways, or "routes", for competitors to clear each dipping bar:
- The "over" route: Competitors could tilt the bar forwards by generating enough momentum, throwing their hands properly onto the bar, and allowing the momentum from the lache to force the bar forwards. This would allow them to simply reach out and grab the stationary bar.
- The "under" route: If competitors failed tip the bar forward, it would tip backward instead. This could be accomplished by failing to generate enough momentum, stopping one's body from falling forward, or pulling the bar backwards. From there, competitors had two options to transition to the next stationary bar: Make a long lache or use the half-wheel attached to the side of the frame to rotate the bar 180 degrees, locking it in place as though it was in the "over" position (in a fashion similar to the Wheel Flip).
Most competitors could clear the obstacle using the "over" route, but those who used the "under" route ended up making long laches.
During the third episode of semifinals, only four competitors failed this obstacle: Steven Bachta, Scott Bishop, Joe Brown, and most shockingly, Maggi Thorne.
During the fourth episode of the semifinals, no competitor failed to complete the obstacle.

Trivia[]
- Over Under can be considered a fusion of multiple obstacles:
- Jumping Bars: The concept of lacheing across multiple bars came from the Jumping Bars, although that obstacle consisted only of stationary bars while Over Under had a mix of both stationary and dipping bars.
- Up for Grabs: Both obstacles required competitors to catch a bar while lacheing mid-air and using their momentum to throw it forward. While the hanging bars on Up for Grabs were suspended only by magnets and had to be thrown into a set of cradles, the bars on Over Under were supported by a circular frame.
- Wheel Flip: The half-wheels on each circular frame were similar to the rings on Wheel Flip and served the same function: rotate the frame forward.
